Description
Domaine de l'Aurage is a wine estate located in the Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, near Saint-Émilion. Founded in 2007 by Louis Mitjavile, the son of François Mitjavile (owner of Tertre-Roteboeuf and Roc de Cambes), this estate embodies the family heritage and the ambition to produce exceptional wines. The name "Aurage" suggests a carrying wind, symbolizing the transmission of winemaking knowledge. The estate spans around 20 hectares, predominantly planted with Merlot, with an increasing proportion of Cabernet Franc. The goal is to produce powerful, elegant, and balanced wines that reflect the region's clay-limestone terroir.
