Merlot from Bordeaux has found its new home in Geneva after Ticino. Generally vinified in oak barrels, it ages wonderfully.
Tasting
It can be served with all good meats and certain cheeses. The ideal alliance is found with lamb with rosemary cooked in the oven, or meat on the spit, as well as with poultry in sauce.
