Description
Founded in 1837 by brothers George and John Rate in Pencaitland, near Edinburgh, Glenkinchie Distillery is one of the few remaining operational distilleries in Scotland's Lowlands. Owned by Diageo, it is renowned for its light and floral single malts, characteristic of the region.
The Glenkinchie Distillers Edition Double Matured is a special release undergoing double maturation: initially aged in traditional oak casks, the whisky is finished in Amontillado sherry casks, adding complexity and depth to its flavor profile.
