Even before the demarcation of the Douro region, Kopke already existed. Founded in 1638, the oldest Port house has built an impeccable reputation based on high quality principles. A leader in the production of Tawny Colheita Port, including whites, Kopke has an enviable portfolio of special category Ports and also produces top-of-the-range DOC Douro wines.

A leader in aged whites, they launched the 50-Year Old White category in 2022, using their extensive cellars of antique white ports.

Appearance: deep golden with green hues, typical sign of very old wine

Nose: intense yet elegant, with citrus, stone fruits (apricot, fig), nuts (hazelnut, vanilla), subtle spices

Palate: opulent, velvety texture with saline notes, refreshing acidity, long complex finish 

Food Pairing: excellent as aperitif or digestif; pairs with foie gras, strong cheeses, mushroom risotto, desserts with dried fruits or caramel .

Serving Temp: 10–14 °C (best at 12 °C)
