Description
Vieil-Armagnac Jean Cave 2005 is a premium Armagnac produced by the Jean Cave house, a traditional distillery located in the Armagnac region. This spirit is made from local grape varieties and aged in oak casks to develop complex aromas and remarkable depth. The distillery is known for its artisanal know-how and mastery of the aging process of eaux-de-vie.
Tasting
Appearance: Deep amber hue with mahogany highlights, brilliant and limpid, reflecting long cask ageing.
Nose: Rich and captivating nose with aromas of prune, candied fruits, vanilla, sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), and fine oak. A beautifully layered aromatic profile.
Palate: Silky and round on the attack, offering flavours of dried fruits, candied citrus, cocoa and subtle rancio. Long and elegant finish with melted tannins.
Food & Spirit Pairing: Best enjoyed neat as a digestif, or paired with a cigar, aged Comté cheese, dark chocolate dessert or prune fondant.
