Ossian -Viñas Viejas de Segovia 2022

Ossian Vides y Vinos is a winery based in Nieva, Segovia, Castilla y León. The estate is renowned for its ancient Verdejo vines, some over a century old and still ungrafted, planted at high altitude in sandy-gravel soils. These old vines produce wines of great depth, minerality, and aging potential.

Viñas Viejas de Segovia is the estate’s signature cuvée. Made exclusively from these centenary vines, it offers a refined, structured and terroir-driven interpretation of Verdejo, far removed from simple fruit-forward styles.

Appearance: Bright straw-yellow with golden hues, clear and luminous.

Nose: Intense and layered aromas of ripe white fruits (pear, apple), candied citrus, dry flowers, brioche, roasted almond and wet stone.

Palate: Lively attack, broad and textured mouthfeel, firm acidity, creamy mid-palate, marked minerality. Long and salty finish with a refined bitterness.

Food Pairing: Excellent with noble fish, seafood, white meat in sauce or truffle-roasted poultry.

Serving Temperature: Between 10 °C and 12 °C.
