Brolio Bettino 2022

Brolio Bettino is produced by Barone Ricasoli, one of Italy’s oldest wine estates, based at Castello di Brolio in Tuscany. The Ricasoli family, owners since 1141, carry on centuries‑old viticultural traditions combining heritage and modern winemaking. 

The Brolio Bettino cuvée pays tribute to Bettino Ricasoli, who, in 1872, defined the original formula of modern Chianti Classico. This wine represents the historic identity of Chianti: a pure Sangiovese, vinified unfiltered, aged in large wood casks — a style initiated by Bettino himself.  

Appearance: Deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections. Bright and limpid, showcasing the vibrancy of the 2022 vintage.

Nose: Expressive aromas of black cherry, fresh plum, violet, and subtle spice (sweet pepper, sandalwood). A light balsamic nuance adds complexity.

Palate: Structured and balanced with firm yet smooth tannins and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Juicy fruit core, long and slightly saline finish with mineral and peppery hints.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, roasted veal, mushroom pasta, and fine Tuscan charcuterie.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16–18 °C, ideally after brief aeration.
