Briottet

Description
Founded in 1836 and based in the heart of Dijon, Edmond Briottet is an independent family-owned house specialising in handcrafted fruit liqueurs and crèmes. Now in its sixth generation, the company relies on carefully selected ingredients, long macerations and traditional production methods. Its Crème de Cassis de Dijon is the House’s flagship speciality and embodies Dijon’s historic liqueur-making heritage.
Briottet Crème de Cassis de Dijon is made exclusively from Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrants grown in Côte-d’Or. The berries are macerated for more than two months in a mixture of neutral alcohol and water to extract their intense aromas, colour and rich fruit character. Briottet goes beyond the requirements of the “Cassis de Dijon” Geographical Indication by using a particularly generous concentration of fruit.
Tasting
Appearance: Extremely deep garnet-red colour, almost opaque, with intense purple reflections.
Nose: Powerful and expressive aromas of fresh blackcurrant and blackcurrant jam, complemented by subtle green and herbal nuances.
Palate: Rich, velvety and generous with remarkable fruit concentration. Natural blackcurrant acidity perfectly balances the sweetness, leading to an intense, fresh and persistent finish.
Serving Suggestions: Essential for a classic Kir with Bourgogne Aligoté or a Kir Royal with sparkling wine. It can also be served over ice, used in cocktails or incorporated into desserts, sorbets and chocolate creations.
