Vermouth Rosso

Vermouth del Professore was created through a collaboration between the historic Piedmontese Antica Distilleria Quaglia and Rome's renowned Jerry Thomas Speakeasy. The name pays tribute to Jerry Thomas, known as “The Professor” and widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern mixology. The range draws inspiration from the historic tradition of Vermouth di Torino, using Italian wines and carefully selected botanicals, herbs and spices.

Vermouth del Professore Rosso is a rich and complex Italian vermouth inspired by traditional Piedmontese recipes. Made from a base of selected Italian wines and aromatic botanicals, it offers a refined balance between sweetness, bitterness and balsamic freshness. Warm woody and spicy notes combine with Mediterranean herbs, wormwood and a distinctive gentian finish.

Appearance: Deep amber-red colour with warm mahogany reflections.

Nose: Rich and enveloping aromas of aromatic herbs, spices, bitter orange and vanilla, complemented by woody, balsamic and menthol notes.

Palate: Full, smooth and velvety with a fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Spices, herbs and citrus notes evolve towards a persistent finish of rhubarb and gentian, supported by a delicate tannic structure.

Serving Suggestions: Enjoy neat over ice with an orange twist, topped with a splash of soda or as a premium ingredient in classic cocktails such as a Negroni, Manhattan or Americano.
