Description
Founded in the late 18th century, Casa de Santar is one of the most prestigious wine estates of the Dão region, known for its seamless balance between tradition, authenticity, and elegance. The estate covers 103 hectares of contiguous vineyards, planted on a patchwork of clay-limestone and schist soils, providing the foundation for wines of remarkable depth and refinement.
The Oito Parcelas 2012 cuvée was born from the selection of the estate’s eight finest parcels, showcasing the complexity of the Dão terroir. Composed of six native grape varieties — including Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, and Tinto Cão — this wine embodies Casa de Santar’s philosophy: to reveal the purest and most intense expression of its land through a wine of nobility, power, and grace.
