Description
Ginjinha is a liqueur made from the fermentation of sour cherries soaked in brandy. Mixed later with sugar and cinnamon sticks. It is a liqueur widely consumed in Portugal. It is traditional to say “with” or “without” when ordering ginjinha, that is, whether the drink is served with or without fruit in the glass. It should be served as an aperitif or digestive, as an accompaniment to desserts or enjoyed on its own.
