Connétable Talbot 2022

Classified as a Fourth Growth in 1855, Château Talbot is one of the flagship estates of Saint-Julien. Owned by the Bignon-Cordier family, the estate cultivates nearly 95 hectares of Médoc gravel soils. Connétable Talbot, created in the 1970s, was one of the very first second wines of the Médoc and reflects the same commitment to quality as the Grand Vin.

Connétable Talbot is an elegant Saint-Julien made from  Merlot and  Cabernet Sauvignon. It highlights freshness, purity of fruit and silky tannins, making it enjoyable in its youth while offering excellent ageing potential.

Appearance: Deep ruby-red colour with purple highlights.

Nose: Expressive aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry and black cherry, complemented by cedar, graphite, violet and gentle spice notes.

Palate: Fresh and harmonious with silky tannins and vibrant balance. Layers of dark fruit, subtle oak and minerality lead to a long, elegant and savoury finish.

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled beef, roast lamb, duck breast, roasted poultry, mushrooms, truffles and mature cheeses.
