Atout Pic - Bio 2024

Atout Pic is a flagship cuvée from Clos des Augustins, produced within the Pic Saint‑Loup appellation. The vineyards are located across the villages of Le Triadou, Saint‑Jean‑de‑Cuculles, Les Matelles, Fontanès and Saint‑Mathieu‑de‑Tréviers, on clay‑limestone soils formed from scree at the foothills of Pic Saint‑Loup.
The climatic conditions are key to the wine’s identity: warm days combined with notably cool nights enhance slow, balanced ripening, while well‑distributed rainfall supports optimal grape quality. Vinification is carefully managed, including optical sorting and temperature‑controlled processes, under the supervision of the estate and renowned oenologist Pascal Chatonnet, aiming for purity, freshness and structure.

Appearance: Deep, intense colour with purple highlights.

Nose: Expressive aromas of ripe red and black fruits, subtle spices and Mediterranean notes, lifted by freshness.

Palate: Full and precise attack, well‑structured mouthfeel with controlled extraction. Refined tannins, good balance and a long, flavourful finish.

Food Pairing: Veal bavette with chimichurri sauce, Provençal‑style pork spider steak, red mullet fillet with thyme cream.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 °C and 18 °C.
