Description
Pisco, a grape brandy without maturation in wooden barrels, is the national spirit of Peru.
The name Pisco comes from the first export port, Pisco, located 200km south of Lima.
It also comes from the Quechua dialect as it refers to the birds nesting in the Pisco valley of the Inca province.With a 73% increase in imported volume since 2012, Pisco is one of the fastest growing spirits on the Swiss market.
Tasting
Appearance: Crystal clear, uncolored.
Nose: Subtle aromas of wildflowers, apricot, and citrus.
Palate: Dry, with notes of dried fruits like almond and walnut, a slight woody touch, and a persistent finish .
Food Pairing: Ideal as a digestif or in classic cocktails like the Pisco Sour.
Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C
