Description
Founded in 1880 in Beaune, Maison Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s most historic wine houses. Family-owned for four generations, the estate favours environmentally responsible viticulture, including organic and biodynamic practices, and gentle winemaking techniques designed to preserve the expression of each terroir. Its wines are renowned for their finesse, balance and elegance. In July 2026, Maison Joseph Drouhin was awarded One MICHELIN Grape in the MICHELIN Guide’s inaugural selection dedicated to Burgundy wine estates.
Beaune 1er Cru “Clos des Mouches” Blanc Joseph Drouhin is a prestigious white wine from the Côte de Beaune, made exclusively from Chardonnay. Located on the southern slopes of Beaune, near Pommard, Clos des Mouches is one of the Maison’s historic vineyards, acquired in 1921. Its clay-limestone terroir, particularly well suited to Chardonnay, produces a wine of remarkable finesse, combining aromatic richness, freshness and minerality.
