Syrah 2024

Winemaker Valentina Andrei, originally from Romania, settled in Valais (Switzerland) after formative experiences at Domaine de Beudon and with Marie‐Thérèse Chappaz, cementing her dedication to meticulous, often biodynamic viticulture. 

The wine Syrah comes from parcels located at Plan Cerisier, Les Bans and Le Perrey in Martigny, planted on granitic soils, with vines aged between 42 and 64 years.  It reflects her approach of selective harvest, indigenous yeast fermentation and barrel ageing, to articulate the Syrah variety’s character within the Valais context. 

Appearance: intense colour, deep ruby to garnet, indicating strong concentration. 

Nose: aromas of ripe black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant) with peppery/spiced notes, elegant and complex. 

Palate: broad and generous entry, supple yet structured tannins, a vine‑like texture, and a long finish with spice and dark fruit. 

Food pairings: well‑suited to red meats, game, moderately spiced dishes, grilled preparations. 

Serving temperature: ideally around 16‑18 °C for this Syrah style.
