Located in Laguardia, in the Rioja Alavesa, Bodega Campillo is part of the Faustino Group. The winery is located at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria, a privileged area due to the richness of its soils, on one of the best plots in the region. Campillo was founded by Julio Faustino, the patriarch of the Faustino Group. It was the first winery in Rioja to be built according to an architectural project in 1990. Surrounded by its 50 hectares of vineyards acquired a few years earlier, the natural stone building, a perfect combination of tradition and modernism, is beautifully integrated into the landscape and the vineyard. Inside, the spiral staircase forms the axis of the entire bodega, which is built on five levels. On all floors, in the shape of an inverted T, elements as varied as stone, steel, granite, slate and wood are harmoniously combined. With its beautiful architectural forms, the best technical conditions are provided for the production and ageing of wine. The impressive cellars for storing barrels and bottles, in which time becomes the ally of the wine, allow the latter to acquire its maturity and great finesse in the bottle. Campillo wines are world-renowned and are among the best in Rioja.
