Savigny les Beaune - Les Saucours 2022

Domaine Chandon de Briailles, located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, is a historic estate in the Côte de Beaune. The domaine cultivates prestigious terroirs in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and on the Corton hill, with an approach focused on allowing each individual parcel to express its natural character. Its wines are distinguished by their finesse, precision and ability to reveal the nuances of Burgundy’s great terroirs.

The Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Saucours comes from a 0.60-hectare parcel, planted in 2014 and located south of the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune. Situated mid-slope on white marl soils in a naturally cool environment, the vineyard offers ideal conditions for producing Chardonnay characterised by freshness, minerality and floral expression. The vineyard has been farmed according to biodynamic principles since its acquisition in 2008.

Appearance: Bright pale yellow with delicate golden highlights.

Nose: Delicate and precise aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and white-fleshed fruits, complemented by chalky notes and fine minerality.

Palate: Fresh and elegant on the attack, with beautiful tension. The palate is delicate and balanced, combining citrus and white fruit with precise minerality. The finish is fresh, floral and subtly saline.

Food Pairing: Ideal with grilled fish, shellfish, scallops, poultry in a cream sauce, Burgundy snails or semi-hard and hard cheeses.
