Meursault 2023

Founded in Beaune in 1880, Maison Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s historic family-owned wine houses.

For four generations, the Drouhin family has pursued a precise and elegant expression of Burgundy’s diverse terroirs, with particular emphasis on finesse and respect for nature.

In July 2026, this philosophy and the consistency of the House’s work were recognised by the MICHELIN Guide, which awarded Maison Joseph Drouhin One MICHELIN Grape in its inaugural selection dedicated to Burgundy wine estates.

Meursault is a great white Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, made exclusively from Chardonnay. The vineyards are located around the village of Meursault, a few kilometres south of Beaune. Soils vary according to their position: deeper around the village, lighter on the mid-slope and particularly pale and stony on the upper slopes.

Appearance: Beautiful, bright golden colour.

Nose: Rich and refined, with aromas of honey, linden blossom and hazelnut butter, together with delicate hints of chamomile and hawthorn.

Palate: Silky and rounded, showing excellent breadth and elegance. The finish is particularly long, with flavours reminiscent of yellow plum and gingerbread.

Food Pairing: Excellent with fine fish, scallops, shellfish, creamy poultry dishes, mushroom risotto and soft cheeses.
