Lirac 2022

Located in the heart of the Lirac appellation, Domaine du Joncier is one of the benchmark estates of the Southern Rhône Valley. Certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter), the estate follows a minimal-intervention philosophy, allowing its old vines planted on Lirac's famous rolled pebbles and limestone soils to fully express their character. Indigenous yeasts, low yields and gentle winemaking produce wines of remarkable purity, freshness and elegance.

The Domaine du Joncier Lirac Rouge comes from the estate's oldest vineyards. Produced mainly from Grenache, complemented by Mourvèdre and Syrah, it perfectly balances the sun-ripened power of Lirac with elegance and freshness. A true expression of its terroir, it is crafted with minimal intervention and great precision.

Appearance: Deep ruby-red colour with garnet highlights.

Nose: Expressive aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry and plum, combined with garrigue herbs, black pepper, liquorice, violet and delicate spices.

Palate: Rich, silky and beautifully balanced. Fine tannins support concentrated dark fruit, vibrant freshness and remarkable minerality, leading to a long, peppery and elegant finish.

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled beef, roast lamb, game, Mediterranean cuisine and mature cheeses.
