The house Domaine du Castel, located in the Judean Hills (west of Jerusalem, Israel), is a family‑owned estate founded by Eli Ben Zaken. 

This Grand Vin 2021 is a premium kosher blend of Bordeaux varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc) from prime vineyard parcels, grown and vinified with meticulous care. It stands as the estate’s flagship red and embodies elegance, depth and structure.

Appearance: very intense colour, deep ruby to purple, nearly opaque—signaling significant extraction.

Nose: concentrated aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, with spicy notes (pepper, fine tobacco), cocoa and elegant vanilla from oak.

Palate: broad attack, structured yet already polished tannins; rich mid‑palate with dark fruits and spices; long finish with great persistence and freshness.

Food & wine pairing: grilled or roasted red meats, herb‑roasted lamb, game birds, matured cheeses (aged Gouda, cheddar).

Serving temperature: serve between 16 °C and 18 °C, decant for 15‑30 minutes recommended.
