Description
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage, Maison M. Chapoutier is one of the Rhône Valley's most prestigious wineries. Still family-owned, it is internationally recognised for its pioneering commitment to biodynamic viticulture and its dedication to expressing the true identity of every terroir. Guided by its motto "Fac et Spera" – do and hope – the House crafts authentic, elegant wines that faithfully reflect their origin.
Chante-Alouette is one of the benchmark white Hermitage wines, produced exclusively from Marsanne. Its name comes from an old house overlooking the Chante-Alouette hillside, once used as a shelter by lark hunters. The wine is sourced from several of Hermitage's finest terroirs, including Le Méal, Les Murets and Chante-Alouette, combining ancient alluvial deposits, red clay, loess and decomposed granite. This blend produces a wine of remarkable richness, freshness and mineral complexity.
