Arribas do Douro - Colheita 2022

The wine comes from Arribas do Douro, located in the Upper Douro region of Portugal — around Freixo de Espada à Cinta along the Douro River. 

The “Colheita” cuvée is a table red wine (non-fortified), produced with traditional Douro grape varieties, vinified and aged in stainless-steel tanks. This wine aims to reflect the character of the Douro Superior: schist soils, mid-altitude vineyards (~350–400 m), and a balance between fruit freshness and structure. 

Appearance: likely purple to ruby — in line with the 2021 vintage released under the same name. 

Nose: aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, wild cherry), with spice notes typical of the Douro region. 

Palate: balanced and pleasant, with good body and fruit character; moderate tannins, making it an easy-drinking gastronomic wine. 

Food Pairing: grilled red meats, hearty dishes, Mediterranean cuisine — a versatile partner for everyday meals or rustic cooking. 

Serving Temperature: 16–18 °C recommended.
