Le Volte dell'Ornellaia combines the Mediterranean expression of opulence and generosity with structure and complexity.
The approachable style of Le Volte dell'Ornellaia, a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflects the philosophy and savoir-faire of Ornellaia.
Tasting
Appearance: Deep ruby colour with violet highlights, bright and dense.
Nose: Fruity and expressive: blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, with hints of sweet spice, plum and light vanilla oak.
Palate: Smooth attack, broad and velvety mouthfeel. Fine tannins, well-balanced between freshness and ripeness. Long finish on dark fruit and subtle spice.
Food Pairing: Grilled red meats, stews, rustic Italian dishes, aged cheeses.
Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 °C and 18 °C.
