Description

Located in the heart of Provence, Château d'Esclans is one of the most prestigious estates in the Côtes de Provence appellation. Since its acquisition by Sacha Lichine in 2006, the estate has transformed the image of luxury rosé worldwide. Through meticulous vineyard selection, extremely low yields and precision winemaking, Château d'Esclans now produces some of the world's most celebrated rosé wines.

Garrus is the estate's flagship and most prestigious cuvée. Produced exclusively from century-old Grenache vines with Vermentino (Rolle), it is entirely fermented and aged in large French oak barrels with regular lees stirring. Widely regarded as one of the world's finest rosé wines, Garrus combines extraordinary depth, elegance and exceptional ageing potential.

Tasting

Appearance: Pale pink color with delicate peach and pearly highlights, brilliantly luminous. An elegant hue that reflects the finest Provence rosés.

Nose: Exceptionally complex bouquet combining white peach, pear, fresh apricot, candied citrus and white flower aromas. With aeration, subtle notes of hazelnut, vanilla, brioche and sweet spices emerge, reflecting its meticulous ageing process.

Palate: Broad, precise and silky attack. The palate reveals a refined, almost creamy texture supported by remarkable mineral tension. Flavors of white-fleshed fruits, ripe citrus and dried fruits unfold gracefully toward an exceptionally long, saline and harmonious finish.

Food Pairing: Outstanding with grilled lobster, langoustines, scallops, roasted turbot, truffle-infused poultry dishes or refined Mediterranean gastronomy.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Degree: 14%°
