Description
Located in Barsac, in the heart of Sauternes, Château Doisy-Védrines has been classified as a Second Growth since 1855. Owned by the Castéja family, the estate benefits from exceptional clay-limestone soils ideally suited to the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). Its wines are renowned for combining richness, freshness and remarkable ageing potential.
Château Doisy-Védrines perfectly reflects the elegant Barsac style. It offers outstanding aromatic purity, vibrant freshness and remarkable precision while maintaining the richness expected from a great Sauternes.

Tasting
Appearance: Bright pale golden colour.
Nose: Complex aromas of lemon sorbet, candied mandarin, jasmine, chamomile, acacia honey, saffron, marmalade and delicate sweet spices.
Palate: Fresh and precise with a silky texture balanced by vibrant acidity. Flavours of apricot, quince, candied citrus, honey and gentle spices lead to a long, mineral and elegant finish.
Food Pairing: Excellent with foie gras, lobster, scallops, mildly spicy Asian cuisine, creamy poultry dishes, Roquefort and fruit-based desserts.
