La Sirène de Giscours 2020

Classified as a Third Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, Château Giscours is one of the iconic estates of the Margaux appellation. Its vineyards, set on deep gravel soils, combined with meticulous expertise and precision viticulture, produce wines renowned for their elegance, finesse and remarkable ageing potential. La Sirène de Giscours is an appealing and approachable Margaux, made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It showcases the freshness, aromatic precision and silky tannins that characterise the great wines of Margaux. It can be enjoyed whilst still young, whilst also offering excellent ageing potential.

Appearance : Deep ruby color with violet highlights, brilliant and intense.

Nose : Elegant bouquet of ripe black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), with floral notes (violet) and a refined hint of wood (cedar, vanilla).

Palate : Smooth attack, velvety texture. Lovely freshness, silky tannins, and fine structure. Flavors of crisp black fruits, licorice, gentle spices, and a long, slightly mineral finish.

Food & Wine Pairing : Perfect with fine cuts of meat such as roast lamb, duck breast, or grilled ribeye. This wine also pairs beautifully with porcini mushroom risotto or aged soft cheeses (Brie de Meaux, truffled Camembert).
