Description
Gruaud Larose has always tried to give value to the role of man in the creation of its elixir.
both to his work and to the bond established with the vineyard.
The vine stocks and the grapes are nothing without man, without these makers of crus, from the most modest to the most powerful.
Since its creation, in 1725, four families have succeeded one another at the head of Gruaud Larose: the Gruaud and Larose families, the Balguerie and Sarget families, the Cordier family and the Merlaut family.
This family attachment has been passed on to the employees who often work at the chateau from father to son and from mother to daughter.

Tasting
Appearance: Deep, dense ruby color, sometimes with a veil of purple highlights. Its brightness evokes dark velvet, hinting at impressive intensity.
Nose: The bouquet opens with lush aromas of wild berries such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry, accompanied by delicate floral notes (violet) and a spicy veil with accents of licorice and cigar. Subtle herbal nuances can also be detected. The whole is complex, elegant, and precise.
Palate: A lively, supple, and round attack, followed by a dense, juicy texture. Ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry) dominate, framed by fine, polished tannins and lifted by a vibrant, mineral acidity. The texture is velvety and full, leading to a long, fresh, and elegant finish.
Food Pairing: A perfect companion to refined cuisine: grilled or roasted red meats such as filet of beef, game in sauce, duck confit, or a platter of aged cheeses like Comté or Brie de Meaux.
