Reserva 2022

The estate Cortes do Tua lies in the valley of the Tua River, within the Upper Douro region of the Douro DOC (Portugal). The vineyards are located near Pombal de Ansiães at around 700 m altitude, on steep slopes typical of the Douro. 

“Reserva Branco” is the house white reserve — a white wine made from old vines (some over 30 years old) and reflecting the winemakers’ ambition (Duarte da Costa & Ana de Almeida) to craft refined, balanced and elegant whites using native Douro grape varieties. 

Appearance: pale green‑tinged or citrine yellow, clear and luminous. 

Nose: delicate aromas of apricot, vineyard peach, green apple, occasionally floral or soft fruit notes. 

Palate: mineral-driven mouthfeel with white‑flesh fruit flavours (peach, apple), marked by granite-like acidity and elegant structure. Oak ageing is discreetly integrated, highlighting freshness and fruitiness. Clean, balanced and persistent finish. 

Food Pairings: ideal with grilled or sauced fish, fresh seafood, shellfish, as well as light meats, vegetables, fresh cheeses — or simply as a chilled aperitif. 

Serving Temperature: best served at 10–12 °C.
