Pernand Vergelesses - La Vie est Belle - Ile des Verg.1Cru 2020

Owned by the same family since 1834, Domaine Chandon de Briailles is currently owned by Count and Countess Aymard-Claude de Nicolay and their children, and is located four kilometres from Beaune in the Côte-d'Or, in the northern part of Beaune, known as the Côte de Beaune of the famous Burgundy vineyards. Covering 13.7 hectares, divided equally between the three communes of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton, the vineyard is located in the middle of a slope with a slight easterly exposure. It has been planted several times, and its average age is 40 years.

Appearance: Golden hue with amber reflections, slightly hazy due to unfiltered bottling.

Nose: Intense aromas of tropical fruits (pineapple, tangerine), brioche, toasted hazelnuts, and salted butter.

Palate: Fresh attack, ample texture with fine tannins, saline and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Ideal with spicy dishes, grilled fish, or soft cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 10 and 12°C.
