Hermitage 2020

Domaine des Tourettes is part of Delas Frères, a historic Rhône Valley estate that farms about 10 hectares in the Hermitage AOC.

The cuvée is a 100% Syrah wine, composed of grapes from several parcels, notably including the prestigious Les Bessards and Les Grandes Vignes on the Hermitage hill. The wine seeks to reflect both the power and mineral identity of Hermitage’s granite soils, and the finesse required for long ageing.

Appearance: Deep, dark ruby color, almost opaque in its youth.

Nose: Aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry), intertwined with spicy notes, leather, and a hint of licorice — classic Hermitage expression.

Palate: Structured and full-bodied, with firm but silky tannins and fresh acidity. Shows ripe fruit, spice, and a subtle mineral edge. Long, persistent finish with elegant balance.

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled or sauced red meats, game, duck breast, lamb, and aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 16–18 °C. Decanting 1–2 hours recommended for younger vintages.
