Description
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l’Hermitage, M. Chapoutier is one of the most renowned wine houses in the Rhône Valley. Under Michel Chapoutier’s leadership, the estate has become a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, with a philosophy centred on respect for nature and the expression of individual terroirs. Guided by its motto “Fac et Spera” (Do and Hope), the House produces authentic wines that combine precision, elegance and a strong sense of place.
La Bernardine is a red Châteauneuf-du-Pape made predominantly from Grenache, complemented by smaller proportions of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The vines grow on Quaternary terraces covered with rounded pebbles, a hallmark of the appellation. Aged exclusively in concrete vats for 15 months, the wine showcases Grenache’s generous character, with silky tannins, rich aromas and elegant freshness
