Vinhas do Sabor Reserva 2023

In the Upper Douro, on the slopes of the Vale do Rio Sabor, the oldest plots of the estate are about 35 years old.

Planted with Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grapes, they face east, bathed by the morning sun and protected from the scorching late afternoon sun.

The vineyards of this historic valley are the source of Vale D.Maria Vinhas do Sabor red, a wine full of personality, which reflects the austerity of the Upper Douro in the density it presents and the finesse of the terroir through the delicacy of the fruit it is born from.

Appearance: Deep and intense red color with violet reflections, dense and bright.

Nose: Rich and expressive aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, plum, blackcurrant), complemented by floral notes, spices, cocoa, and a hint of minerality.

Palate: Full-bodied and structured entry with good concentration. Tannins are present yet elegant, supported by balanced freshness. Long and persistent finish with black fruit and spicy notes.

Food Pairing: Ideal with grilled red meats, lamb, slow-cooked dishes, or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C.
