Reserva 2023

Cortes do Tua Wines is located in the Tua River valley, in the Upper Douro sub‑region of the Douro DOC (Portugal), on the left bank of the Tua. The estate was founded by two young winemakers, Duarte da Costa and Ana de Almeida, blending Douro viticultural tradition and modern winemaking to produce harmonious, balanced and elegant wines. 

The Reserva is one of the estate’s flagship reds — a Douro wine built on a typical local grape blend, offering power, structure, and rich aromatic profile.

Appearance: deep, intense ruby‑red colour. 

Nose: complex and intense — ripe black fruits (blackberry, plum, black cherry), with spice notes, sometimes balsamic or vanilla hints from oak ageing. 

Palate: dense and structured body, firm but well‑integrated tannins, lively acidity providing freshness and balance. Flavours of black fruits, possibly touches of cocoa, licorice or aged leather, with a long, persistent, fruit-driven finish. 

Food Pairing: ideal with grilled or sauced red meats, lamb, game, hearty rustic dishes, strong charcuteries, and mature cheeses. 

Serving Temperature: 16–18 °C.
