Redigaffi -Merlot 2022

Tua Rita was founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti in Suvereto, Tuscany, and is renowned for its exceptional wines. "Redigaffi" is their flagship wine, a pure Merlot made from vines planted in 1988 on clay-siliceous soils. The wine was first produced in 1994 when two barrels of Merlot were set aside, unknowingly creating what would become an iconic wine. The name "Redigaffi" comes from a small stream running through the estate. With controlled yields and careful winemaking, "Redigaffi" embodies the excellence of Merlot in Tuscany.

At a glance: Deep ruby red color, brilliant with violet reflections.

On the nose: Intense aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, plum), chocolate, truffle, tobacco, and vanilla.

On the palate: Ample attack, silky tannins, elegant structure, long and persistent finish with spicy and mineral nuances.

Food pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, game, stews, or aged cheeses.

Serving temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C after one hour of decanting.
