Description
Location: The appellation area is situated on the right bank of the Rhone River, between Orange and Avignon, in the village of Roquemaure, near TAVEL.
Soils : The property is located on a plateau covered with large rounded stones.
Climate : It is a Mediterranean one with particularly hot summers. The Mistral wind blows away any humidity, ensuring very favourable climatic conditions for the cultivation of vines.
Harvest : All grapes are hand picked, which enables to select the best grapes. This is a major point in the quality of our wines.
Winemaking & Ageing : The grapes are pressed in pneumatic presses. The juice is clarified by cold sedimentation (10 - 12°) and a light fining. Fermentation happens at low and constant temperature (between 14 and 16°C) and lasts around three weeks. About a third of the volume is fermented and aged in French oak barrels. The other part stays in tanks on fine lees. Blend of both parts happens in Mai following the harvest.
Tasting
Appearance: Bright pale yellow colour with light golden reflections. Clear and luminous, expressing the freshness and elegance of the vintage.
Nose: Expressive and delicate aromas combining citrus notes (lemon, grapefruit) with white-fleshed fruits such as peach and pear, complemented by subtle floral hints and a touch of fresh almond.
Palate: Fresh and balanced on the attack with lively acidity. The palate reveals a harmonious texture with flavours of citrus and ripe fruit supported by a light mineral character. Elegant and persistent finish.
Food Pairing: Ideal with grilled fish, seafood, vegetable risotto or fresh goat cheese.
Serving Temperature: Serve between 10–12 °C.
